Evaluation & Tryout Information
Each year the Intermediate (50/70), A-Minors, and B-Minors have tryouts and evaluations.For all tryout and evaluation levels, the only equipment players need to bring are their glove (bat and helmet too if they have their own). There are no evaluations for tee ball or the tee ball clinic.Listed below is information about each divisions tryout or evaluation.
Moving Up a Division
For those players that wish to move up or down divisions at an earlier age (for example B-Minor age wanting to play A-Minors), the player must attend a tryout and be evaluated to make sure they are ready to compete at a high level. We can't go by parents opinion and wishes. CLL must take into account player safety and skill level. No player can advance beyond one division.
Here is a list of possible moves:
- Scenario 1: A player who is a league age 6 (Tee Ball Age, 6 years old by Aug 31) can move up to B-Minors.
- Scenario 2: A player who is a league age 8 (B-Minor age, 8 years old by Aug 31) can move up to A-Minors.

If your child fits into any scenario above, here is the process:
- Let the CLL Player Agent know your child's desire to move up by completing this form
- The player will attend requested division tryouts (listed in section below) in front of Head Coaches and Board members. If the coaches and board members feel like they are ready for the requested division, the player will enter the draft. If the coaches and board members don't feel like they are ready to be placed in the requested division, the player will remain in the age-appropriate division.
- Draft/Team Selection Day: If your player makes it this far, They will be eligible to be placed on a team. If your player is selected during the draft, they will play in the requested division. If your player is not selected during the draft, they will play in their age-appropriate division. The parent/guardian will be responsible for the difference in cost from their original division to their new division. The decision of CLL is final.
Intermediate (50/70) Evaluations
Ages: All Little League 11, 12, & 13 year olds
Purpose: A tryout where the kids performance will determine whether they will be drafted to play Intermediate (50/70). Attending the tryout does not guarantee a kids placement in the Intermediate (50/70) Division. Some players who attend may play in the A-Minor division.

A-Minors Evaluations & Tryouts
Ages: League 9 & 10 year olds and little league 8 year olds who want to try out to play in the A-Minor division.
Purpose: This is NOT a tryout for 9 and 10 year olds. The purpose of the evaluation is to allow kids to swing the bat and throw while the coaches observe to ensure a competitive balance in the A-Minors for the season. This IS a tryout for any 8 year olds to determine if they are a good fit for the A-Minors or would be better suited for B-Minors.

B-Minors Evaluations & Tryouts
Ages: League 7 and 8 year olds. Potentially 6 year olds who have played one year in Tee-ball division.
Purpose: This is NOT a tryout for league 7 and 8 year olds. The purpose of the evaluation is to allow kids to swing the bat and throw while the coaches observe to ensure that talent is evenly distributed among the teams. This IS a tryout for the 6 year olds to determine if they are a good fit for the B-Minors or would be better suited for Tee Ball.
